On Friday, June 10, 2011 Mayor Gatsas; Andy Crews, President of
AutoFair New Hampshire; Superintendent Thomas Brennan and Rick Brenner,
President of the NH Fisher Cats will take to the field to give away the "Make
the Grade" grand prize a 2011 Ford Fiesta. "Make
The Grade" is a public-private partnership between the City of Manchester,
AutoFair and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. This program is a shared effort to
recognize academic achievements and enhance community commitment from corporate
partners. The "Make
The Grade" Program will award a brand new 2011 Ford Fiesta to a junior or
senior high school student who has achieved academic excellence by making the
Honor Roll, High Honors and Principals List the 1st, 2nd
and 3rd quarter of the 2010/2011 academic year. Three finalists
from each school were drawn on Monday. The twelve finalists are as
follows:

Each of the
finalists will be given a key and a chance to start the car during the pre-game
celebration of the NH Fisher Cats game tomorrow evening. Finalists will
also receive a "Make The Grade" prize pack which includes a team
autographed baseball, a custom Fisher Cats jersey and a $100 VISA gift
card. The car giveaway will begin at 6:45pm and is expected to last
15 minutes.
